With effect from November 23, 2016, minimum KYC Customers can now have a balance upto Rs. 20000, in your Udio wallet and the monthly loading limit also has been increased to Rs. 20,000 per month. This is applicable till further notification from RBI.

Udio Wallet is your one stop shop for mobile recharges, DTH top-ups, landline, electricity and gas bill payments. You can also split bills with your family & friends and send e-gift vouchers as well as data to surprise your loved ones.


Udio wallet is issued and operated by TranServ Private Limited as per the authorization received from the Reserve Bank of India to issue semi-closed loop prepaid instruments.

Udio Wallet makes your payments as mobile as you are. This friendly wallet app lets you be generous and awesome. You can send money to your dear ones instantly. Save more cash by availing interesting offers and discounts as you shop cash free. And for those who owe you money, send them a request to pay through the App. Make gifting fun by sending an e-gift vouchers and 2G/3G data directly from your phone. Split movie, dinner or even rent bills instantly using Udio's Split Bills and remind friends to payback.

There are 2 ways you can load your wallet

- "Add Money" button lets you load your Udio Wallet from your debit/credit card, or net banking.

- "Request Money" button lets you request money from your friends/family on Udio Wallet.

We understand your concern, and won’t let anyone misuse your Udio account. Please call us at 022-6773 7800 and write to us at ping@udio.in to block the account.

In such case please file a complaint on your nearest police station. We shall act in your complaint once we receive an email from the police/cyber crime.

There are 2 ways you can load your wallet - "Add Money" button lets you load your Udio Wallet from your debit/credit card, or net banking. - "Request Money" button lets you request money from your friends/family on Udio Wallet.

You can load upto Rs. 20,000 in your Udio Wallet at once. As per the RBI regulations, the total balance in your wallet cannot exceed Rs. 20,000 at any point of time. In case you want to be able to hold a higher amount in your Udio Wallet you can upgrade your wallet to #UdioPremium by writing to us on kycsupport@udio.in

You can make up to 20 successful transactions for loading money into your wallet per day and 100 transactions per week. However, if you are loading money through credit/debit cards you can only make up to 2 successful transactions per card. After 3 consecutive failed transactions there is cooling period of 2 hours, try loading your wallet only after the cooling period.

In case your wallet does not have sufficient funds in your Udio wallet to make a payment, you will have to load your wallet with adequate balance using cards/net banking before you can make that payment via your Udio wallet.

You can load money into your Udio wallet through Net Banking from any of the below 41 banks.

We currently support credit or debit cards with VISA , MasterCard and Maestro You will not be allowed to use the same credit/debit card to load money for more than two times in the same day.

Please check your internet connection. Also verify the card or bank details for authorising the funds. In case the problem still persists then call customer care 022-6773 7800 or write to ping@udio.in

If the transaction fails and amount is deducted from your bank account, refunds are processed within 24 to 48 working hours to your Udio wallet.

You can use this facility to send money to your friends & family. Doesn't matter whether the person has a Udio Wallet or not. If the person you have sent money to is a Udio Wallet user then the money will be credited to his/her Udio Wallet. Else, he/she will get an SMS to download the Udio app and once he downloads and signs-up with Udio, the money will get credited to his/her Udio Wallet.

- Click button on your Udio app

- Click on Send Money option from the list

- Select your contact, enter the amount. Put in a text message describing the payment

- Now, click on ‘Send Money’and you are off to make somebody's day!

The recipient will be alerted that you have sent him/her money.

If he/she is not a Udio Wallet user, he/she will need to download the app and then register. The sent money will get automatically credited to his/her new Udio Wallet.

If the recipient is a Udio Wallet user, the money will be transferred immediately. If the person is not a user he/she needs to complete a one-time sign up process and then gets access to the money.


You can send a maximum of Rs. 5000 per transaction. However, there is no limit to the number of transactions you can do.

Once the money is sent to the wrong number, there is no way to get the money back. Hence it is recommended to always verify the number before sending the money.

In this case please check the details you have entered are correct or not. Also check with the recipient if he/she has completed the process of registering for Udio Wallet. If the details are correct and the recipient is a Udio Wallet customer, please contact us at our customer care number 022-6773 7800 or write to ping@udio.in

Right now we are providing this service to domestic numbers only. Soon you will be able to send to international numbers as well. However, Udio Wallet service is currently available to Indian residents only.

If the recipient does not claim money sent within 3 days, the money will be returned to the sender's Udio Wallet Balance.

No, it's absolutely free.

No, one can't use credit card to send money via Udio Card. However the card can be used at the time of payment to a shop via Udio Wallet.

The recipient will receive a SMS/email about the money sent immediately once you hit the "Send Money" button. Money will get credited almost instantly to your Udio Wallet.

You can use Request money’ feature on your Udio Wallet to request for cash from your friends or family members or any individual. If the person you have requested money from is a Udio wallet user, then he/she just needs to login to the Udio Wallet and give an instruction to send money to you. If the receiver is not a Udio wallet user, then that person needs to download & register with Udio before sending you money via Udio.

- Click the button on your Udio app

- Select Request Money option from the list

- Select the person from your contacts list or manually type a mobile number of the person you wish to request money from. Enter the amount. Put in a text message (optional)
- Now, click on “Request Money” button and send a Cash request to your friend/family

If he/she is not a Udio Wallet user, he/she will need to download the app post receiving a SMS/ Email about your request. He /She will need to register, load money into his wallet using Credit/Debit cards or Netbanking and then send money to you. Funds will be instantly credited to your Udio Wallet.

You can request max 5000 at a time.

No, it is absolutely free as of now to request money via Udio wallet.

Udio Digital card is a virtual card that is linked to your Udio wallet. It acts like any other credit card and can be used to make payments only on online Indian websites/apps. The card is PCI-DSS certified & is securely linked to your Udio wallet balance.

To get your Udio Digital Card, you need to set a PIN or use your Udio password to activate your digital card. Remember your PIN or Udio password as this will be needed later to view your card details.
Your Udio Digital Card will be generated with a 16-digit card number, expiry date and CVV once you set the PIN/Udio password to secure your card.
To view your card details anytime, you need to enter the same PIN or your Udio password set during activation of your digital card.
If you have a Udio plastic card active, you can view your card details on the Udio app. CVV will be mentioned on the rear side of the card.

To get the Password, go to My cards, click on Forget Pin, a verification code will be sent via SMS, enter the OTP - after which you will get the option to generate the new password.

When making an online transaction, you need to select the Credit Card option. On your Udio wallet app, enter your PIN to view your Udio digital card details. Enter the 16-digit card number, expiry date and CVV. Some online sites may ask you the ‘Name on the card’ for which your name can be entered. An OTP is also generated on the app screen that you need to enter while making the payment.

Udio card is a pre-paid VISA card issued by RBL Bank.

This feature lets you order your Udio Card with which you can shop at over 1 million merchants pan India accepting Visa. All you have to do is fill in a few basic details, including your address so we can send it your way. You need to make a payment of Rs.99 from your Udio wallet to place an order for the Udio card. Once you receive your card, you need to activate it within your Udio wallet app before you can use it anywhere.

You can order the card on the app, to start using the card, you will need to activate the card. All you have to do is, go on to "Activate My Card" on the side menu, punch in the Udio card number and you are ready to use the card.

The Udio card balance is linked to your Udio wallet balance. Anytime you think the funds are running low, you can always add money to the Udio wallet & it will be available for use with your Udio card.

It will appear in your transaction summary. A surcharge of 2.5% is applicable for fuel payments made using the Udio card.

You can use the card to the extent of the balance in the wallet.

The Udio card issued can be used for all the offline and online transaction where Visa is accepted. With the Udio card, you do not need to carry any other forms of cash/cards in your wallet. The money on your card is only equivalent to the balance in your Udio wallet & so any is also reduced to that extent. On losing the card, you can quickly & easily block the card on your Udio wallet itself. We usually run deals & offers on the Udio card, and we urge our users to make best of them, you can learn more about the offers from the Udio Blog page. Please note there is no facility for cash withdrawal from ATM.

There is a one-time charge of INR.99 for placing an order of the Udio card.

To activate the card. All you have to do is, go to “Activate My Card” on the side menu of the Udio App, punch in the 16 digit Udio card number and you are ready to use the card.

As per the set parameter, once the Udio card is blocked, it cannot be unblocked. You have to place request for the new udio card and an INR 99 will be charged again for the card.
Note: If you already have your virtual card, you will have to deactivate your virtual card and activate the physical card. Once your physical card is activated, your virtual card will get created and it will be the replica of your physical card.

A surcharge of 2.5% or Rs 10 (which ever is higher) + Service Tax is applicable for fuel payments made using the Udio card.

Udio allows you the flexibility to transfer money from your Udio wallet to a bank account of your choice. You can transfer money from your Udio wallet to your bank account by adding your bank account details to within the Udio wallet and giving an instruction to transfer money from the slide menu on the app. Please ensure that the money can be transferred to your bank a/c as per NEFT timelines. Any transaction done after NEFT cut-off time (5pm on working days or anytime on non-working days), will be processed only on the next working day.

You can transfer a maximum of Rs 5000 per day and Rs 20,000 per month. However if you are a Udio Premium user, you can tranfer upto a maximum of Rs.5000 per day and Rs 25,000 per month.

Yes. Udio users can transfer up to Rs.500 per month for free, Udio Premium users can transfer upto Rs.5000 per month for free. Bank transfers made above the limit will be charged a per transaction fee of 2.95% for Udio users and 1.00% for Udio Premium users of the total amount or Rs.10, whichever is higher. These are the current charges, however this fee is subjective to change. Please check the FAQ to be updated on any changes.

In case you typed in an incorrect bank account number, the transfer will fail and Udio will refund the money to your Udio wallet within 7-10 working days. However, in case you typed in an account number that is correct, but is an unknown person's bank account, the funds will be credited to that account. Then we would not be able to refund the same. Hence, it is recommended to always verify the account details before transferring the money via Udio.

Please call us at 022-6773 7800 with your registered mobile no or write to us at ping@udio.in and provide your registered email id and mobile number. Your account will be blocked and balance amount will be refunded back to you.

You can save debit/ credit card details of any bank - 16-digit card number and expiry date - in a secure manner within your Udio wallet app. Once saved, you can use it to load your Udio wallet at any point. You have to just enter the CVV and any additional password/OTP as required by the Bank who has issued that card. You no longer need to remember the card number and expiry date when you use the card to load your Udio wallet.

You can store upto 5 cards in your Udio wallet.

Your Card holder information is protected when it is stored and actual details are stored in an encrypted format. Actual card details are not visible to anyone.
Any transaction involving your card is carried out across a secure network with proper validation only after OTP verification & secondary level authentication by Verified by VISA/Master card secure code. All your card information is stored on secure servers protected by firewalls which are regularly monitored.

Verified by Visa and Master card secure code are additional layers of security provided by VISA & MasterCard to secure all VISA/MasterCard transactions.
You need to use this secure password/passcode to authenticate a transaction in addition to the card number & CVV combination when carrying out any card based transaction. These are generated once for your card through the card issuer's site (usually the bank from where you got the card) or from the VISA/MasterCard site.

Udio offers you 100% secure and bank certified payment service. Your card details are stored using a technology called tokenization where the details are stored in the form of tokens in our PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment vault.

Source account is the original account from where the money was loaded into your Udio wallet. In case of any load failures, your money will be credited back to the same account (source) from where it was loaded.

My Balance displays the total balance in your Udio wallet including your total liquid money in your Udio wallet and balance from your Vouchers. Please note: vouchers are the discount coupons pushed by vendors which you can redeem while doing a purchase with that particular merchant through your Udio wallet. My Balance is the cumulative of cash plus vouchers of your Udio wallet.

Go to your "User Profile" and click on the profile picture. Take a picture with your camera or choose from your gallery & upload it.

Udio wallet and the services provided within like send money, request money, split bills, digital card and gifting are currently absolutely free. There is a fee only to order a plastic Udio card & to transfer money to the bank.

Currently the Udio wallet is only available in India.

To change your password, you need to go to the Sign in page on the app and enter your registered mobile number/email address. Once done, you’ll see a Forgot Password link. Just click on it and we’ll send you the password reset details on your registered email address. The app keeps you signed in till you choose to sign out.

- Send money to friends and family and make them happy

For Prepaid recharge, simply enter your prepaid mobile number, select the operator and select the recharge plan and make payment. For Postpaid bill payment, simply enter your postpaid mobile number, select the operator, enter the amount and make payment.

Once your complete process of mobile recharging, you will receive the following from us: Immediate response on social wall

SMS on your mobile
SMS from your operator with recharge details.

This means your payment for recharge or bill payment was successfully submitted. However, your operator is yet to process this payment. Once we receive updates for order status we shall also send you final status via email and SMS.

Generally, it takes 2-3 business days for a postpaid bill confirmation. In case, you do not get confirmation in 72 hours, please contact the operator or you can call us with the transaction reference number.

Your recharge could fail due to multiple reasons:

-There was a delay from the operator's end

-The plan selected for Prepaid is currently not available

-There might be a connectivity issue due to which the recharge did not go through

On Udio you can pay Data card bills for prepaid and postpaid for the following operators: MTS Blaze, MTS MBrowse, Reliance Netconnect+, Tata Indicom, Tata Photon Plus, Tata Photon Whiz

For Electricity bill, select the service provider if available, enter your customer account number and bill amount and make payment

For Gas bill, select the service provider and customer account number and bill amount and make the payment

For Landline bill, select the service provider, enter your telephone number and bill amount and make payment

For Broadband bill, select the service provider, enter your User ID, bill amount and make payment.

In case of failures, please do not worry. The refund is usually processed within 24 to 48 working hrs back to your Udio wallet.

Vouchers are offers made to you by Udio Partner Merchant Businesses. These can be used for your purchases at the respective Merchant outlets or for recharges/purchases online or using the Udio app/Udio card. There are 4 different vouchers as part of your Udio Wallet.

Recharge Vouchers: The vouchers typically issued through Recharge Partners can be used for your pre-paid mobile phone/DTH or Broadband recharges through Udio app.

Gift Vouchers: These vouchers are discount vouchers/coupons issued by 1 million+ popular Business outlets across India. Now you can discover awesome offers and get great discounts with your Udio wallet for your favourite hangouts and explore new offers.

Meal Vouchers: These vouchers can be utilised at any of the partner Meal Outlets by swiping your Udio card when you make a purchase.

Fuel voucher: These vouchers issued by Corporates/partner merchants or Transerv and can be utilised at any of the merchants identified as Fuel Service stations by swiping your Udio card when you make a fuel payment. Any additional surcharge and service tax applicable will be deducted from your wallet balances.

Udio Treats: Udio treats is a special voucher issued by partner merchants/corporates or Udio that can be used anywhere across the Udio environment for accessing the Udio services including card transactions, recharges/bill payments, gifting or payment to merchants or any additional feature made available from time to time. They are treated similar to your Udio cash balance but cannot be transferred to other wallets/bank account or sent to other mobile numbers as part of send/request money feature and split bills.

You Total Udio balance is a sum of Cash Wallet and Voucher balances. For eg. If you have ₹.100 in your Udio wallet and ₹,50 Meal voucher and ₹.100 Medical voucher ,your Udio Cash will be ₹.250. You can transfer your Cash Wallet Balance (Udio! Wallet Balance) to your bank account. But Voucher Balances cannot be transferred. They can only be deducted from your Voucher Balance when you pay at the respective merchant outlets.


When a voucher expires, you will no longer be able to use the voucher amount at the supporting merchant outlets. The amount in the voucher will be removed from your Voucher Balance and the voucher can no longer be used.

Merchants will send vouchers to your Udio Wallet with discounts / offers. Voucher balances can be used at the time of purchasing goods / services from the respective merchant. Select "vouchers" at the time of making the payment.

Voucher Balance can neither be transferred to Cash Balance nor to any your bank a/c's. Cash Balance can be transferred to a bank a/c.

The wallet can hold max Rs. 20,000 at a time, including the voucher balance. If you wish to increase the wallet balance limit, then for more details please write to kycsupport@udio.in.

-Click the button on your Udio app

- Select Gift option from the list

- To send an e-gift voucher, select your choice of voucher and send it to your contact.

Gift a voucher, allows you to send e-gift vouchers of popular brands to your contacts.Select a voucher and then choose the voucher amount and quantity. Specify a contact to send and select ‘Gift Now’. Your e-gift voucher will be sent to your selected contact and the equivalent amount will be debited from your Udio wallet balance.

Typically the receiver would have a voucher code which can be used at the time of online purchase to get a benefit equivalent to the gift amount. Please check the How & Where to use, Description and Terms & Conditions sections of the specific e-gift voucher for more details redeeming an e-gift voucher.

The e gift voucher receiver can redeem your gift any time before the voucher expiry date. If he/she does not redeem your gift online before the voucher expiry date, the voucher will expire and cannot be used any further. No money will be refunded to the sender’s account for unused vouchers.

You will not be able to get a refund or cashback into your Udio wallet for a voucher. Please check the terms and conditions and how to use section for each voucher regarding usage instructions.

Udio wallet has a basic monthly limit set by RBI. This means you cannot keep or spend more than Rs. 20,000 in your wallet in a month. To upgrade your limit to Rs. 1 Lakh, please get your account verified with us using the KYC process.

As per the set Parameter, PAN CARD is mandatory. Below is the list of documents that are admissible as address proof.
1. Aadhar Card / letter issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) containing details of name, address and Aadhaar number
2. Valid Passport
3. Valid Driving License
4. The Voter’s Identity Card issued by Election Commission of India
5. Any state / central government issued ID (If includes address)
6. Ration Card
7. Utility Bill (not less than 3 months old)
8. Bank account statement (not less than 3 months old)
9. Letter or document issued by authority of Central or State government that confirms the address and not issued within the last 6 months.

The process of upgradation to Udio Premium is simple, and will take up to 15-20 working days from the date of collection of documents. If the wallet is not upgraded within this time frame, then we request you to write to us at kycsupport@udio.in

Once the wallet is upgraded, a notification will be sent via Email and SMS to you informing you of the same.


Customers who transact online and do not receive the product/service they paid for or receive defective/incorrect product or service may raise complaints directly with their banks. Such disputed transactions are called chargebacks. Chargebacks can be raised for up to 120 days from the date of transaction.

Refunds are initiated by the merchants in cases where they are unable to deliver the product or service. If in case you are not able to deliver the product/service to your customer, you may write to ping@udio.in with the transaction reference number and the Udio Support Team will get in touch with you.

Customers are held liable for fraud transactions and the merchant is not penalized. In India, Reserve Bank of India mandates that all online transactions are processed after two-factor authentication where the customer is required to enter a PIN/password known only to him to authenticate a transaction. This ensures that the cardholder is the payer.

"Transaction Summary" gives you a summary of all the past transactions for your Udio Wallet.

You can go to "Transaction Summary", and extract past transaction details for the required period by selecting the start and end dates and selecting View Report

You can filter for a particular date range and type of transaction view a report of all your transactions.

Apart from that, we will also send you the monthly statements.

Udio Wallet App is available in Android supported phones with Android 4.0 (Icecream Sandwich) and above and on iPhones on versions with iOS 8.0 and above

Split bills allows you to share any restaurant, coffee or rent bills with your friends and contacts. Your contacts will get a pay request from you and will be able to pay you back using Udio app. If they do not have the Udio app, they will get an SMS to ‘download the app. Once they download the app and register, they will be able to pay you back.

You can gift any of the available pre-paid mobile data plans to your friends. The amount equivalent to the cost of the selected data plan will be deducted from your wallet balance. Your contact will get a data recharge for the specified amount/data when you send a successful data gift.

Udio cashpoint are authorized stores that will accept cash from you and load your Udio wallet. There are over 50000+ Udio cashpoints across India.

- Select Add money from the Udio app and click on Locate Cashpoint
- The map will display the closest cashpoints along with their address, contact information and location details if available in your location.
- Visit any Udio cashpoint and handover the money to be loaded quoting your mobile number and wallet load.
- Once the cashpoint agent confirms, your Udio wallet will be loaded with the respective amount.


Udio treats is a special voucher issued by partner merchants/corporates or Udio that can be used anywhere across the Udio environment for accessing the Udio services including card transactions, recharges/bill payments, gifting or payment to merchants or any additional feature made available from time to time. They are treated similar to your Udio cash balance but cannot be transferred to other wallets/bank account or sent to other mobile numbers as part of send/request money feature and split bills.


You cannot withdraw money from ATMs using your normal Udio card. However, if you have a Udio cash card, it can be used to withdraw money from ATMs.


Udio cash cards are physical cards that allow cash withdrawal at ATMs. This is different from a normal Udio card where ATM cash withdrawal is not permitted.


Due to limited availability, Udio cash cards are not available for all users. We will let you know once is available for all users.


ATM Withdrawal is available only for Udio cash cards. For every withdrawal, a withdrawal fee of Rs.20 + 15% service tax is applicable


The maximum amount that can be withdrawn per month with a Udio cash card is Rs.24,000. Also, your wallet balance cannot exceed Rs.50,000 at any point in time when you use a Udio cash card. Apart from this, there may be daily & weekly limits as prescribed by RBI for cash withdrawal. Also, any additional limit imposed by the bank at its ATM may is applicable.


The Udio ATM card comes with a PIN mailer in your card kit. You can only withdraw cash from ATMs using the PINs
